I loved this museum! I have visited it twice and still want to go back to more fully explore the exhibition! Recently, they've reduced the price for under-25s so that now it's free. A favourite museum in France, quite a modern structure (dates back 15 years??) with a very complete collection. The current exhibit on German Expressionism (Die Brucke) is alone well worth the visit. Museum restaurant "Le Cinq" is also tops. More

We came to Grenoble especially to visit the Musée de Grenoble, which we had visited many years ago. It rated three stars in the current Michelin guide, but was a huge disappointment. Old masters, modern art, sculptures. Children particulary liked the sculptures and bright modern paintings. Lifts for buggys and infirm. Be careful in shop, very crowded for kids and careless adults ( me). More
