the lake is one of the most enjoyable sight in Annecy, both in summer and winter people love to go for a walk along the lake.
Cannot go to Annecy without a visit to the beautiful lake..we walked all around and found some lovely playgrounds and an aviary that the kids enjoyed too.
My 3rd time to visit Annecy and I've loved it every time. This year we hired a motorhome for the first time, picked it up in Lyon and our first stop was Lac d'Annecy, We stayed at the "La Chapelle Saint Claude" camp site which was perfect for swimming in the warm fresh water lake and poping into the old... Go in July when Annecy is a stop or start on the Tour de France to partake of the festivity, see famous cyclists, and dine in sidewalk restaurants hearing the street concerts by musicians from the Conservatoires of France. The Jazz Manouche is thrilling. I bought... More

Stayed in the old part of town, bought fresh fruit, cheese and nougat from the market and listened to musicians playing in the conservatorie opposite. Lake cruise good value. Missed out on bike rentals due to closure between 1-2 and no ID so... More

Amazing scenery, with mountains in the background. Clear water. Great for walking, cycling, swimming - and remaining close to the comfort of local amenities.

Reminds me of Wanaka NZ. summer would be great to have a picnic on the grass and a swim in the lake. There is a very well made carousel at one end wich... More
