The location of the cathedral is best approached from the north - from the city neighbourhood itself, rather than from a walk along the main road (which is featureless). Once there, the small square in front of the cathedral is usually busy with neighbourhood kids, couples sitting and looking out over the sea, or just soaking up the sunshine that...

The big red doors are the first amazing thing you will see. The church is more like a castle with its size and corridors. Everything is in amazing condition and a definite must see!
