Our Nice guide book had said there was a Degas and a Monet but we didn't see any sign of them so it's fair to say we expected more of the Musee des Beaux-Arts than we found. Having said that, they were just taking a protective plastic covering from the Bronzino crucificion and that was certainly worth seeing. We noticed... More

I found this more enjoyable than visiting the larger museums in Paris. No crowds and very quiet. Beautiful grounds as well. More

We found the museum which was once a villa. It had a nice collection of 18th and 19th century French art. More

Another free gem in Nice, another parc setting, and paintings a la MasterPiece Theatre. Stepbacks in time. Do look for the bust of the veiled lady. Marble sculpture of a veiled woman - who knew marble could be turned into a veil over a woman's face. Entrancing. More

Somewhat away from the city center of NIce, this museum offers masterpieces from great artists including Jules Cheret, Raoul Dufy, Mossa, Rodin and many others. The building itself (built in 1878 for an Ukrainian Princess) and its garden are beautiful. Closed on Mondays (where almost all of the other museums in Nice are closed on Tuesdays). More

This is worth the walk and the admission fee. Very nice building and paintings and sculpture. If you have time and/or the day is not so nice out, I would go here. Would not miss other attractions like the old town to come here, though unless you are a very big avid art fan. More
