Simply beautiful, full of life and coulours, it is wonderful to get lost here and find something new on every corner. Maybe becaoming a bit touristy with an increasing number of stores selling the regular tourist kitsch, but still lovely.

Better restaurants than down by the flower market. You can get a ride in the velo or rent a city blue bike to get all over Nice and old town.

Fun to walk around...very unique - narrow streets, fun shops, great restaurants, Matisse's dwelling, old fish market, flower market, etc. perfumeries...wonderful!

Nice's Old Town definitely caters to tourists but it caters to locals as well - in addition to its often tacky souvenir shops there are boutiques the locals use regularly. For this American, this was just perfect - a blend of local and touristy fare - something for everyone. Very clean and safe. Remember that the Flower Marked is a FANTASTIC Flea Market on Mondays!
