Once again one of those not so well known tourist attractions but well worth the visit.Regretably not much information in English which seems quite typical in most places in France but I really enjoyed it

there was a service on (children's confirmation I believe) but they were happy for people to come and join in. Parking isn't easy if church is busy otherwise it's a good place to park for the Museums. The Convent museum was closed between 1 & 2 - so check on opening times as I missed out on that but the...

This ancien convent situated up to the city is easy to reach by bus from city center. A great view of Nice from hight, a beautiful convent with free garden. Very close to the roman archeological museum and matisse museum. In a half day u can see all this.
The loveliest gardens in Nice. A visit to Cimiez makes up an ideal afternoon. The gardens are a wonderful place to sit and think and enjoy not just the flowers, but also the stunning views over Nice and beyond. Nearby are the roman ruins, which are also well worth a visit.
Take bus 15 up away from the fray of quay and promenade and shop windows, to see where the contemplatives lived, imagine their ancient potagers, walk the beautiful olive groves, see some of the art of Matisse in gorgeous natural light, and be greeted by the kindest woman in the world in the tiny gift shop for the Franciscans.
It is a small, holy monastery near the museum of Matisse. It is always nice to see a monastery but I must say that it is not a very impressive one.
The scenery and gardens of this convent are excellent. From one side one can overlook the harbor and elsewhere one can walk through gardens and see centuries old Italian architecture. Very cool to see and if time permits is a very worthwhile visit.
It is a nice place to visit if it is closeby. It is quite a distance from Nice downtown andyou will see the whole place after about 20 minutes. Thus it is only worthwhile if you combine the visit to this place with other places. We signed up for a one day tour with the local travel company. They used...

I've been there twice...nice monastery, very mysterious and warm at the same time. Lovely garden, reminded me of the countryside..nice flowers and fruits in the trees. Definitely worth it!
