This is old Cannes. Before the arrival of the British in the 19th century, this was Cannes with stepped alleyways and chocolate box streets winding up the hill around the fortress. Le Suquet contains a clock tower and church that overlooks the Cannes bay.
In the evening time this area is rather lively with bars and restaurants.
