The cathedral is handsome, with soaring, unbroken columns shooting directly into the vaults. The interior is not as spectacular as some, and most glass is not ancient. Don't miss the tomb of Francois II, and the beautiful surrounding statues of the Four Virtues at each corner.

Beautiful large cathedral going through a restoration, beautiful stained glass windows and the burial site of some of the significant Dukes and Duchesses of Brittany. Although I didn't know it at the time, there are also crypts below.

The Cathedral is still undergoing restoration following a devastating fire in the 1970s but is breathtaking in its simplicity. Well worth a visit.

We arrived here on Monday morning so it was very quiet which made visiting more enjoyable. So much to see and details within it is good to come earlier in the day. Make sure to walk around the outside of the cathedral to really appreciate the architecture and history.
