This is such an interesting church. The windows are beautiful and intriguing to "read." I probably wouldn't go far out of my way to come here, but if you are in Rouen then it's worthwhile. I enjoyed talking with the young woman from Japan who was working at the information desk.

I liked the contrast of the modern architecture of the church and the old stones remaining in the area that the martyrdom took place. Located in a central area with restaurants, shops and patisseries. This is part of a walking tour in the medieval areas of the city of Rouen. We enjoyed our time there.

The church is sited next to th place where Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake. I was surprised to find such a modern building however there are many modern buildings in Rouen built where older buildings were destroyed during World War 2. Inside it is very quiet and one can sit and appreciate the large stained glass windows.

Unusual church and stunning architecture, every bit as wonderful as the old 'traditional' type of churches. The symbolism of the design has been really well thought out and expressed. If you are not really into churches you must go if only to look at the amazing stained glass window which, forms almost a whole floor to ceiling wall.

Probably this is French way of life nowadays but the church is quite modern as one can expect from some architecture from Paris. Inside the church is spacious and quiet. One can see the statue of Joan of Arc just outside the church. It's hard to imagine she was executed here. I like the movie with Ingrid Bergman.

It was a very gloomy day and the church was having some sort of services here, so we couldn't see the inside. The outside is very different and definitely worth going to see.

As we rode by on the Petit Train, we remarked on the strange design of this building. Later in the day, strolling through the city, we decided to go inside and check it out. The inside of the church is beautiful, with high gloss, curved wood ceilings. The stained glass rescued from St Vincent’s Church after it was bombed in... More

Thing that makes this chruch really interesting is the history assocated with Joan of Arc. Otherwise, its architecture is nice (we liked the design personally) but not something to go out of the way unless you want to see where Joan of Arc was burned.

It is worth taking time to reflect on thewonderful stained glass in this modern church and to think about what took place on this hallowed ground. Read her story before you arrive and immagine yourself in her place. Take time to look around at the town and her story will come to life!
