A guide book said it was better than Notre Dame in Paris, & having seen it I agree. Do not miss seeing this wonderful Cathedral with exquisite stained glass.

The cathedral was so beautiful and you really need to see it at night and during the day!!

Bayeux Cathedral is simply one of the most beautiful in France. Because it is a little smaller than Notre Dame in Paris, or Rouen, or Rheims, it feels more intimate, but the soaring pillars, vaulted ceiling, Gothic external decorative stonework, carvings and windows, are simply splendid. On a tour of Normandy, don't miss this lovely place.

Wow! I did not expect to see and visit such a stunning cathedral in Bayeux. Take some time to stroll around, view the inside and be sure to take the stairs down to the crypt. Circle the exerior and read the many plaques that outline the history of the area. Great photos to be had. It's like Notre Dame without...

Loved the outside "stitched together" archetecture. The blending of styles and elements will have you circling for hours. The interior is lovely and spacious. We would have liked to have explored it further but our visit was on the Sunday that they were holding a WWII memorial in Bayeaux.

Best seen with guide who can give particulars like stain glass windows, meaning; changes made in Cathedral over years.

Loved the timeline that was on display. Wish it had an English translation
