We visited on the first day of the christmas market which was laid out like a traditional german one. It was interesting but would not visit Lille especially for this market - choose a proper German one

If you are stqying anywhere near the grand place then the metro stqtion located here is very convenient.From Mille Eurostar you go one stop then change on to the other line to Rihour and you are about 100 yards from the Grand Place.The fare is 0.70 euros.
