Small but interesting zoo within walking distance, definitely worth a visit. You can also walk through park and alongside the canal in this area particularly pleasant on a sunny day.

i can't remember the last time i went to a zoo, let alone a free one! definitely worth a visit, we easily spent an hour or so looking around all the animals and feeling like a kid again. definitely not the biggest collection in the world, and there were quite a few cages out of action as they were refurbished...

We went on a sunny day and it was a bit pongy! The cages are so close together in parts that it was nigh on impossible to see what was in them because of all the other visitors. Quite an unusual surprise to find in the park
Lille Zoo isn't too far out and is free, which is great. You don't have that many "big" animals such as lions, bears, elephants or anything like that but the ones they have are enough, it's just nice to walk around on a nice day, not too large either which is a plus. Easy to get around with a baby in a pram and a toddler walking. Plenty of animals. FREE!! Also, located next to a great park where our toddler was happily entertained for hours. Recommended.
This a lovely little zoo and definitely worth a visit if you are in Lille. It's free and there's a good selection of animals, including rhinos, monkeys and zebras. We enjoyed walking around for a couple of hours.
We visited this Zoo with our young girls and they loved it! It's bigger than you expect, especially as it is free! An assortment of animals, some not so well known.. Red panda for instance. Took about an hour to go around.
Great zoo with various species the looked well kept in quite spacious compounds. Spent nearly 2 hours looking around and enjoyed the experience. The zoo is free, there is a donation box by the entrance/ exit, we did leave a donation it was worth it
Firstly was surprised to see its free entry and the animals looked healthy and happy... if you walk in average speed one whole round will take an hour... there is an amusement park outside but it was closed in the 1st week of March
We liked the compact size, with a surprisingly good selection of animals. The whole place is a little down at heel, but it’s free. The creatures appear to be well cared for. We arrived just after opening time and we had it to ourselves but, even on a cold winter day, as we left many families had arrived
