What can you say! Really lovely, our kids loved it too, and in January there is still ice skating outside so really made our day! More

On travelling to Albi along the auto-route it is awesome to see the cathedral from a distance. On arrival the whole building appears to be a massive brick built fortress - which it was, in a way. Built to make an impression against the Cathar movementt in the 13th century. The biggest brick built building in the world. Inside it's walls... More

Just when you think you've had enough of looking round cathedrals you arrive in Albi and WOW! This one is really impressive. Huge gothic style red brick building in the centre of town. Free to go in the main part but there is a small fee to see the chapel area at the back. The organ is huge and there... More

This is truly a magical experience in Albi, a lovely place generally as well as being where Henri Toulouse-Lautrec is from and where his signature museum is located. The exterior looks rather grim and perhaps more like a dungeon but inside the decor and details are truly amazing. The red brick which is so typical of this part of France... More

Historic monument with very particular architecture for a cathedral. Great paintings inside with pastels made in the region. They also do concert which are quite impressive due to the acoustic. A must see on your list! Free entrance, only one part inside requires payment. But you will see most of it for free. Just nearby, 5 minutes walk, the Museum... More

Not ever seen such a huge brick built cathedral. Being restored with huge care and attention. The mural on the West wall is a real wow. More

I have been inside some of the most visited churches in the world but this takes first place. It is so light and full of colour inside. Very impressive and worth every moment of the visit. Don't miss it. More

Beautiful Cathedral, incredible interior decor, well worth a visit. Was lucky that there was a choir singing when we visited. Also a very pretty town to have walk-around and find refreshments. More
