Great little mediaeval town with many interesting features. Cheap antique shops (you must haggle though!! Good little restaurants, try the hotel du Commerce at lunch time. Lovely market on monday where you get your fill of the atmosphere under les Couverts and roungd the stalls with great buys, fascinating smells and a cosmopolitan feel

The square and resturants are top class. It was great to drive to surrounding towns near by which was beautiful and scenic.

We were coming from Gruissan sur Plage just going for a drive. Mirepoix was our turn around point. Glad we went there.its a medieval town with in the center a wonderful square with restaurants and shops all around. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes. It is not a place to walk in high heels. We enjoyed our visit.
