How on earth did those artisans manage to craft wood so incredibly ornate and beautiful? Must see. Easy tram but we walked from Rue du Gambetta if you are keen enough

A nice little museum giving the visitor a good feel for Art Nouveau. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

A beautiful museum in a suburb of Nancy (taxi was €8 from centre of town) with a superb collection of Art Nouveau furniture and ornaments, all manufactured in and around Nancy between 1880 and about 1920. Audio guide only costs €1 and is well worth taking. There are many art nouveau buildings in Nancy and the tourist office (Place Stanislas)... More

A beautiful, inspiring place that tells the fascinating story of Art Nouveau in and around Nancy. Plan a good two hours to do it justice, and be sure to use the audio tour. The bus ride from Nancy was easy and quick.

Absolutely beautiful. Coming to Nancy and not seeing here is like coming to London and not seeing the V&A, National Portrait Gallery, Tate... A place where you must visit.

If there is one Art Nouveau destination in Nancy not to be missed, this is it. This former home, turned museum, is filled with every example of fine art from this period. Paintings, furniture, glass, pottery are all beautifully displayed as though the home is still lived in. The amount of art here is amazing for such a small area.... More

This museum was one of the highlights of our trip to Nancy. A house that is, in itself a glorious example of the art style of the period, is filled with examples of Galle glassware and windows, furniture of priceless Art Noveau design, and a very helpful staff. For the price of 6 Euros- it is well worth the visit-... More

We really didn't know much about the Ecole de Nancy and its work and were bowled over by the quantity and superb quality of the work crammed into this museum, which occupies the former home of one of the great patrons of the style. It seems that towards the end of the 19th century Nancy had a number of successful... More

This museum has a wonderful collection of Art Nouveau furniture and art, it's very inexpensive, has an excellent audio guide for only 1 euro and is not crowded. A must in Nancy.
