The car park at the base wasn't the easiest to find, but the path up was easy (less than an hour) and the views from the top were great. Well worth the visit.

1hr hike to the top of the mountain in the middle of the nature, very peaceful. nice view from the region, good place for a picnic. Bring all you need as nothing is sold there.

We can't say that we didn't dislike anything, Also, go and visit la grotte des demoiselles which is a few miles away, try also the new restaurant near the house called " Le coin perdu"..

I have watched this area grow ever since my nephew moved there over 20 years ago. He used to boast that he knew the family who started it. We used to be able to buy the wines at the market in Le Vigan very cheaply, sadly no longer. The number of caves is vast and you could spend a whole... More

It was quite a walk, we took the long way and it lasted about 2 hours but the view was worth every bit. Just remember to take some food to eat on the top. We didn't and we were starved :) The walk down to our car was another 90 minutes :)

We tried to get there by public transport but found it impossible because there is only 2 hours between the first bus there and the last to leave!

It is a long and at times difficult walk up (we attempted it from the St Martin de Londres side. But the views at the top are magnificent.

We travelled to Pic St-Loup after reading that the view was good. Well on our 30c day in Augus in blazing sunshine with not enough water in hindsight we tackled the peak. The route is a moderate walk and will require a good bit of effort especially towards the end. As I say in the beginning make sure you have... More

Pic st-Loup is the very symbol of Montpellier. Must see the incredible landscape from the top. You can even see the Alpes, Montpellier city, Mediterranean and Pyrenees the same time in good weather condition. The itinerary from south is much easier than that of northern side, but also too much tourists. You can find more interesting things if you could... More

Pic St Loup dominates the region north of Montpellier. Its limestone cliffs on the north side create a sense of exposure. There may be some rock-climbing, but Claret appears to attract more of that crowd. The Pic has a number of hiking trails leading up past medieval castles. Footing is tricky with some loose rock, so pack the appropriate footgear.... More
