'Like this, like that' as the French would say. There are no top rated attractions in this Island, unlike its immediate neighbour, Ile de la cite. It houses some pretty expensive Eateries and Shops and is in my opinion a bit of a novelty for Travellers who want to be 'a bit better' than everyone else. I'd say it is... More

The shops were open on Sunday, when the ones near our hotel were closed. The candy from de Neuville was delicious!

I loved exploring this neighborhood. It perfectly fit my vision of Paris. It is not as crowded as the other neighborhoods as it appears to be mostly a residential area. I loved looking at buildings that were over 500 years old and still had residents. I went to the Berthillion ice cream store for some decadent treats. Finally, the shops... More

The island is small, but really charming. Even being very touristic, keeps it's uniqueness. I advise you to go there in the evening, there are a lot of bars, restaurants , shops. Small streets, nice vitrins. Take a drink in a bar, eat something in the restaurant, take a walk etc. nice charming place. I love it. And- the average... More

This is a must to visit & enjoy the narrow lanes & individual shops. Beautiful florists, boutiques, galleries & a sumptuous confectioner. There is a great little pub, very traditional, well cooked lunch available there

We lived here for a week and it was fantastic. So quiet at night when all the tourists move on. It is centrally located. You can walk over to Notre Dame any time. There are lots of restaurants, the Metro is convenient, and the views of the Seine are wonderful. Now I am spoiled and this is likely the only... More

Adjoining Notre dame Cathedral, this island is charming. It's a great neighborhood through which to stroll, buy a gelato or eat a meal at. Many of its restaurants are excellent. Do some research and pick out the one that appeals to your palaye. A nice place to end the day after your visits to Notre Dame or Saint Chapelle.

We rented a wonderful apartment for 1 week on Ile St-Louis and did not regret it for one moment! The buildings on the island mostly date back to the mid 1600's and therefore our apartment had exposed stones and huge wooden beams that have been there for almost 400 years but with updated kitchen, appliances and sleeping quarters. This small... More

What a lovely spot: a mini Paris! A calm and quiet living environment with much that one wants to do within walking distance just off the Ile. Later in the evening when the tourists depart, it is like a small, charming French village. One can enjoy a meal or class of wine in a quiet cafe and feel as though... More

The Ile Saint Louis is one of the most charming areas of Paris. Try lunch at L'Auberge de la Reine Blanche at #30 on the main street. It's right across the street from the Ecole des Garcons. Excellent, authentic French country cooking.
