Impressive, Stately call it what you like Hotel De Ville is so exquisite in it's fine architecture that it just oozes with charm - like many of the buildings in Paris.

A very interesting and informative exhibition tell what the resistence in Paris did during WW2 and about the Liberation of Paris. The Hotel de Ville always has an exhibit inside that is free of charge. There's often a long line to get in-best to go early at opening hour. In front there is often something entertaining to see. In the winter it's ice skating and they set up a rink on the space in front, other times it's made to look... More

WHile not the oldest part of Paris, the Hotel de Ville is like so much of Paris, beautiful architecture in a vast open square. The Seine is next to it and the Metro stop is here. If time allows, take it in.

We loved the whole building, but only saw the outside. There are lots of beautiful carvings and sculptures on and around the building.

This is a gorgeous place very near Notre Dame. We went to visit the haute Coutuure show that was on there which was excellent.

It would be better of the Hôtel de Ville if there is no ice-rink in the front. The building itself is amazing, especially during the sunset. Would like to see inside sometimes. Hôtel de Ville at night time is far more beautiful, so nice with all the lightings. Must-see attraction in Paris.

This is a lovely exhibition and worth queuing for. Beautiful dresses and shoes from 1896. It was very busy while we were there but still easy to view everything. And it is free!
