La place Vendome is a very formal square in the center of Paris, between le jardin des Tuileries and the Opera, with the famous colonne Vendome in the middle, a sculpture of Napoleon at its top. All around the square are the shops of all the most famous and expensive, jewelers in the World and on one side is the...

There are a ton of high end jewelers in this square. The buildings themselves are beautiful, and were mansions built for the wealthy that are very well-maintained and the monument is a nice touch in the center. No food here that I noticed. Great to walk though on your way to wherever your destination may be.

We were here during the Holidays 2006/7. Walked up from Rue de Rivoli along Rue de Castiglione towards the plaza. The streets looked amazing, since there were chandeliers strung up all along in between the buildings. It was a very magical feeling. Then we spent a long time looking in the windows of all the great jewelry stores.
