Simply stunning drive past the Calanches de Piana, just watch out for the coaches and the camping cars!
Very limited space for parking alongside the road, but try and enjoy the breathtaking views of coloured rocks, especially in the late afternoon sun. I was there for the second time also in the morning, but the light and effects were much lower.
Feels like you are in Arizona the color of the mountains are red,the road is small and parking is hard to find in the summer..And then their is cargese which has nice beaches and town,Very beautifull...corsica is a special place...The corsican language is a 17century tuscan italian that has not changed,it is remarkable!!
Its hard to find parking but totally worth it. Really very dramatic cliffs, their color is extraordinary and the views are spectacular.
Superb rock formations along the road high above the town of Porto. Just like an American canyon. You have to walk up and down the narow main road to view them which can be tricky
You just can't miss these cliffs! We went by road and it can get crowded but worth it! Try to go at dawn or dusk. The sea views, the cliffs and the rock formations are spectacular.
Would recommend this route in the afternoon or towards sun set, the stunning red rocks are amazing. Also to the path from the Tete du Chien, which gives you a panoramic view over the Calanche.
Went by boat. One of the most beautiful place we ever seen. Crystal clear water and red rocks. Best snorckling ever int he scandola park. The little village of Girolata only accessible from the sea is coming directly from Middle Age.
Astonishing beauty. Rivals all coast lines we've visited including Pacific Hwy 1.
We went on a boat trip from Ajaccio. You get taken to within feet of the cliffs for what was one of the best days of our lives. Not cheap but well worth it for a full day out.
