We visited the Chateau at the recommendation of our host at Chateau du Vau, the Chateau itself is very nice but the real attraction are the gardens, they are magnificent. The gardens spread out from the rear of the Chateau and are all organically grown, thousands of flowers and vegetables were in bloom, the trees are gorgeous, and there's even... More

The gardens at Villandry are exceptionally well kept and never fail to impress our clients when we take them to this beautiful Château. Inside the Château is well restored and most interesting. My only negative point is the dual pricing. I think the entrance fee should be set at one price. The restaurant and Creperie are really well run and... More

Very interesting place. Amazing gardens with the largest vegetable garden in Europe. Chateau is also amazing. You don't need to take a guided tour. There are written guides you are given. Great place to visit. More

Probably the best presented tourist property I have ever been to! Great audio tour of chateau but the gardens are absolutely spectacular! Never taken so many photos in one location. Highly recommended. More

The photos of the gardens at Villandry don't do the place justice. They are so peaceful and beautiful you can't help but fall in love even if you don't like French gardens. The loving care with which these hundreds of thousands of flowers, ornamental beds, shrubs, lime trees, pools and vegetables are tended is obvious. I had no expectations when... More

To say that the gardens of Villandry are outstanding is an understatement. They are cultivated to perfection and lovely from any angle. We saw them on a cloudy, then rainy, day and they were still lovely: good shots of umbrellas through the fleurs! The castle itself has interesting, tasteful furnishings, particularly frabic around the beds. There were fresh flower arrangements... More

This is most likely a redundant review, but we just wanted to confirm that the Villandry gardens are truly exceptional and a learning experience for those who love the sport of gardening. They received the “Label Qualité Tourisme” (Quality Tourism Classification) which rewards the chateau's activities in terms of upkeep and enhancement, as well the tradition of welcome that has...
