One of the most majestic cathedrals in this region. Extraordinary stained glass windows. See St Gatiën if you haven't gone to Chartres. More

This is the cathedral of Saint Martin of Tours, who was probably the prototype for all future saints when one of his disciples wrote his story in late antiquity. Beautiful old cathedral. Some of the private chapels along the side have very old painted wall scenes. More

Breathtaking experience. Wonderful architectural monument, underestimated, in my opinion. Represents it’s hypostasis 100%. Go visit and find out. You will be amazed. More

The cathedrale is very impressive by the elegant pattens outside. Compared to the churches in Paris, it's very quite and much less visitors. I like the peace in the cathedrale and it's a good place to think about something without much disturbance from visitors. More

The cathedral is beautiful. Nothing spectacular. It has some historical information specific to Tours which is fun if you are staying there the week. More

This cathedral was near my Hotel (du Manoir) and I called in a number of times and found this cathedral very impressive in stature and the stained glass windows are beautiful. The pipe organ is awe-inspiring !!! Don't pass by without entering!! More

As I live a forty minute drive from this elegant, sophisticated city the Cathedral is a frequent "drop in" especially as there is disabled parking by the entrance. In hospital last year, I came round after the operation and my room looked straight onto the magnificent, floodlit façade of this Gothic splendour. Couldn't decide if I was alive or nearer... More
