Attractive art museum in the center of town. Not first rate art but pleasant and some sign boards available in English.

This museum is extraordinary for his collection covering hte middleage till modern painting. The graves of the Dukes of Burgundy and the famous painting of the "Maitre de la Flemalle " Roger van der Weyden are just superb... It's currently in renovation but it's a must!

I was terribly disappointed to see that it is closed for months. Nobody cares much about the tourists in Dijon anyway.

Musee des Beaux-Arts de Dijon is an amazing museum and it is always a pleasure to spend some time here. The Impressionist rooms are especially great and so is the modern art.

A broad spectrum of art and antiquity, exclusively French except for a collection of Egyptian relics. A very good collection of bronze miniatures, a couple of fine Rodin's and an excellent impressionist room. The contemporary collection left us wondering but that may be a matter of taste rather than quality.76

Due to renovations we were unable to see the gothic fireplace, that got my attention in the city map /booklet. But there was definaltely lots to see and I recommend to go there :)

While the majority of the museum is under renovation as of this writing, it is still worth a visit. The highlights are on display - including a rare opportunity to see some of the figures from the tomb of the Duke of Burgundy in the round - removed from the arcade of the tomb that is being restored. Very interesting museum. There are quite a few impressionist paintings as well as modern art. Also a collection of animal statues of which a large replica can be seen in Darcy Garden (polar bear). Also collection of religious 15th century paintings.

Definitively worth stopping by! Impressionist paintings on display and other great art! Best part was that it was free admission!
