We were pressed for time when visiting, but for some reason I insisted on seeing the museum before heading out to see the alignments.
The museum boasts tons of info, as well as artifacts. We had to rush through the museum and probably completed our tour in 1.5 hours. If I were to do it again, I'd skip the museum...

If you are into prehistory a visit to this museum is a must. The most modern of the exhibits is Roman and the rest prehistoric.
There is an English guide to the various exhibits available on request. The layout of the museum follows a timeline from the paleolithic ( old stone age) through to the neolithic with a great display...

I really enjoyed visiting this lovely museum. The building itself if lovely and inside you will find a really interesting collection of prehistory with many interesting objects on display.
