Beautiful square this Albert Square, I really appreciated the Tawn Hall a Gothic style building artistically fascinating. The place is very crowded and I have to admit that I liked the Albert Memorial. Worth a visit!

Very beautiful and impressive as you view the Town Hall, with cobblestone decor on the ground. The statues to Manchester's historic past, fountain all present. The Lincoln Statue very close by. Starbucks across the street. Very peaceful-except when Market days set up! Loved this square.

On a bleak winter day, I visited a little rectangular pop up christmas village in Albert Square. With Shops, Restaurants, Cafes, Pubs, Takeaways lining up the many tiny streets, the riverflow of people both ways, jostling for every foot-space to drag the bodies through, provides the wramth, fun and joy for the festive period and celebrations. WHen you look up... More

You can't go anywhere in England without bumping into a park or square or monument dedicated to Prince Albert. Albert Square in Manchester is in front of their Town (City) Hall. When we were there it was turned over to the St. George Festival, giving the square a carnival-like atmosphere. There are a few pubs and restaurants in the area... More

The architecture is compelling and inspires images of yesteryear when Manchester was probably the most important city in the World, the one who's industrial practices became a template for the World. Prince Albert had a real affection for the city, how it put Britain at the forefront of international trade during the Victorian era, hence the statue and the square... More

Every time I have visited Manchester there is usually some event taking place in the square. From food and wine tasting events to street entertainers. Or just sit and take in the hustle and bustle of life in the city. Overlooked by the magnificent town hall building.

Great location, easy to get to. Lots of food and drink to sample and to buy. Would have liked better weather but hey, you can't have everything!

there are plenty of cafes, to sit outside in the square, but the traffic is never ending and noisy. the view of town hall is really good, and Manchester events are held in the square
