Fantastic place to visit in Manchester if you like quirky shops. Some lovely items, jewellry and clothing available. Used to be a hang out place for 'goths' but recently it has become popular with the general population. Tends to be teenagers who 'hang out' here but I would say venture in you never know what little gem you might find....

The Northern Quarter for me is the REAL Manchester with it's unusual shops and modern yet bohemian feel.
Affleck's Palace is like the cathedral in the centre of it all! Me and my family all like this place and visit on a regular basis... even if its just dropping in for a coffee.

If you like anything alternative or artsy then you'll love Afflecks Palace. Lots of independent shops. Brilliant for just looking around browsing. Not really suitable for children, especially if you have a pushchair.

Wasn't quite as much different styles as i expected, it was mainly extremly alternative clothing, vintage or those chinese bags stores which are everywhere. However absolutley loved the arty feel, the retro toy shop and many other little bits. Almost felt at home.
If only there was an Afflecks Palace in every city.

Choice of small individual outlets. Great for that unusual gift.

From the smoking paraphenalia to the bead shop, from military clothing to Austin Powers style 60s outfits, and the poster shop that has been there as long as...
