Liked the layout of the museum and it really brought Lancaster's maritime history to life. Take the time to see the video on the top floor.

An interesting little museum. Too much to take in with lots of information - perhaps a few more artefacts might help. Good to learn new things. I,m sur kids would enjoy climbing aboard the packet boat. Friendly staff good value.
I wasn't expecting much from this little museum and maritime didn't inspire me but it was actually a very nice museum. interesting displays well targeted and great for kids. loads of different aspects and very locally based. A small museum well laid out and very informative.I particularly liked the slave trade and titanic exhibitions.
Walking on the quayside in Lancaster on a reasonably sunny afternoon and saw the Maritime museum we ummed and aahed about going in, as it was a nice afternoon and should we take advantage of sunshine, and it cost £3.50 to go in (I know it sounds mean!!!!).
Anyway best £3.50 spent in a long time!!!!
