We went there from time to time as the tickets are for all-year around. It's best to go when the weather is nice. You could wander around the garden, watch the ducks, swans & birds. You could also have a picnic on the green and afterwards, just visit the internal parts of the castle. It's not difficult to spend a... More

Wonderful historic site. The grounds are lovely and the castle superb. The staff went out of their way to return our lost camera, much appreciated. More

My favourite of all the places in Essex. Brilliant for historical hunt, picnic, biology lesson and great playground. Love it! More

Went in May , in the afternoon and in a drizzle but I think that the weather actually added to the experience. Best part were the ducks and swans in a lovely park area . The castle was impressive and I found the more modern interior very interesting as reflective of the early and mid 20th Century life style of... More

We were invited to a charity event at Leeds Castle in aid of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Childrens Charity. It started with champagne reception, a musical recital, a 3 course superb dinner in Henry VIII banqueting room, then after dinner drinks in the Library. We stayed in the Castle overnight in a state room and it was magnificent.... More

Leeds castle is set in it's own expansive grounds with the house itself open for visitors to walk around and see its opulence. In addition the bird of prey display is always good, there is also the maze or just enjoy the grounds. More

Stunning location with tons of picnic spots and things to do. Be aware no pushchairs allowed inside the actual castle. More

Visited this Castle on a number of occassions. Usually for a specific event - most recently twice for the Proms in the Park. Entry is a tad expensive but the arrangements for events are normally well carried out. The Castle itself is stunning, we have been round that a couple of times. The golf course is interesting but not too... More
