The park is a great way to spend a day out with the family. Lovely walks and a nice cafe to recharge after the hikes. More

A must if you visit Kilkenny - 20 min drive to castlecomer. we visited the play park and the craft shops. we will definately return with walking boots and follow a walking trail More

Great for family and friends. There is a lovely walk, you can go fishing, visit some intersting shops, eat in the restaurant, take a tour or for the kids, theres a playground and theres a rock climbing wall there too. Ensures a great day out. More

This is a terrific place for a walk/picnic. There is different trails to walk through the park depending on your fitness and numerous spots for picnics etc. There are caves dotted about the trails and lakes also. The wildlife also helps achieve the ambience of the natural wild that's about. There is numerous gift shops and a restaurant to relax... More

We were staying in Kilkenny city for a weekend break and visited Discovery park. Great place for a long walk, they have 4 or 5 different tracks to choose from too and it's all free! The have a lovely coffee shop if you fancy treating yourself after your walk. i'd say there is lots more to do than walking but... More

There is lots to do here Fishing on 2 lakes, you can fly fish,or float fishing. there is a kids area and picnic area and also beautiful walks through wooded area More

Great depiction of the working lives of miners. A nice cafe as well with reasonable prices. Small Art & craft studios & lovely walks & playground. If you don't want to visit the exhibition, these are free. More

A nice trip out of Kilkenny but well worth it...A hidden treasure with knowledgeable staff to help....relax and explore the mining history of the area More

You dont need to be a historical or scientific geek to enjoy this park. It is very interesting learning how coal mining influenced this part of Ireland. It poured the whole time we were there but they had organised a bouncy castle and face Painting for Halloween Bank Holiday and staff very friendly. Would return on a dry day to enjoy the woodland walks and The tasty cafe food. More
