As the name implies the Meeting of the waters is where Killarney's famous lakes converge. The Upper lake , Middle Lake (also know as Muckross Lake) and Lower Lake (Lough Leane) all come together at this beautifull spot. It is a little haven of tranquility and can only be reached by foot or bicycle.

The beautiful walk leading up to the meeting or the boat trip from the Gap all add to the beauty at this spot. Take time to explore the little walks around this area and you can be truely absorbed into another world.

The very first problem considering Meeting of the Waters was prohibition of entrance by bike (from the main road, e.g. from Torc). We wasted time by going on our own, whereas other visitors (who arrived from another direction) used the bike. So, I conclude, that there is a chaos with forbiding signs.
