This place is second to none regarding scenery and the opportunity for a walk. Its always busy but never wedged. Nice shops along it, super spot to relax and chill out More

Ireland is not known for it's sandy beaches so I think the Promenade is unique for that reason. There is so much beauty, unique to Ireland, this is just not a highlight. More

One of the best things about Galway is that you're never far from anywhere. The Salthill beach is only a 10 minutes walk from Galway. The promenade is normally busy with locals enjoying the sea air. there are plenty of great B and Bs in the area and if you're in the mood, there's amusement arcades in Salthill itself. More

This promenade is stunning in great weather. If you're a photo buff, do NOT miss the opportunity to walk along this stretch. It's about a 45 minute or so walk from the start of it to the city center but you can stretch that out quite a bit for relaxing. More

What a breathtaking place, the weather helped us see across Galway bay to the Burren but even On a winters day it would be hard to beat! More

The prom in Salthill is a great place for a relaxing walk or just to sit and people watch. It lasts a good stretch so you can get a decent walk in. It is always busy with plenty of people about. There are also a decent number of establishments to dine in here, varying from restaurants to fast food or... More

Although Salthill used to be a great place to visit, unfortunately this is no longer the case. The place was absolutely dead when I visited. It is sad to see that so many places have now closed down. However, if you are just after a nice walk then it is still lovely! More
