We took the #46 bus to Phoenix Park and walked past the zoo and through the park to the Visitor's Center. It was quite a hike, but well worth a visit. There's a little shuttle to Aras an Uachtarain and a guided tour through the reception areas, the dining room, and the Irish president's study. There is a bust and... More

Visited the Aras with an extremely competent guide, who made young and old feel that their questions were relevant. The tour included the State Rooms, Francini Corridor and the Presidents Study. Well worth a visit

we were there to meet with President Higgins, and took afternoon tea with him and a group of senior people, and had photos taken with our Pride of Place plaque. lovely house, great history, excellent hospitality.

The ambience is just amazing. The setting in the Phoneix Park makes it extra special. I would definitely say it is worth a visit.
