Be here early, well berfore sunset. I came around 2.30 pm, joined a tour. Very informative and interesting, great guide! Could have spent all day here just walking around. Money well spent!
Our guide shared his love of our history he told us the story about the person in each grave, not in any way morbid just fasinating.

Spent the day here after visiting botanic garden's. There is a short cut from botanic gardens to the cemetery via a gate. It's computerized and good if you are interested in genealogy. There is a lot of history attached to the place.
Visited Glasnevin museum today with friends! Did the guided tour. Really really enjoyed it! A must for every irish person- amazing to hear the stories of those buried there.

Very professional team. took the tour also and it was no interesting particularly if one has an interest in Irish history. But if you are interest in writers etc, the tour could be better. Don't go if British unless you have relatives buried there. All missing was The Solder's song.
