We parked in the close by arts centre and took a lovely path down to the bay offering great views as we approached it. The bay itself is beautiful with white sand surrounded by rocky cliffs, great for photos too. There is a pleasant easy and flat walk along the North side offering more views and photos opportunities!

The Highlands are very demanding on brakes and I'd begun to hear a suggestive grind that alarmed me a... More

Peaceful and beautiful! There is little more needed. The sand is almost white and it makes a great place for an evening walk.

Well worth a visit, loos and a cafe nearby, and a stunning stretch of beach away from it all. The area is just beautiful, I highly recommend it.

Like the Caribbean in Scotland. Minus the heat (obviously). Sand was lovely and there was a nice cafe or two close by. Lovely drive around e coast for there. Just spectacular.

Fantastic beach, but as it a protected site (machair SSSI), some users need to take more care and stop children and dogs from digging at the fragile sand banks. Sand martins nest there and their entrance burrows can be easily damaged by careless digging and jumping off the edges of the sand cliff. A superb place with an interesting sculpture... More

This is probably my favourite place on the Isle of Mull. Such a beautiful beach, with white sand and clear water

I spent a day in Mull, got the Ferry in Oban, arrived at 11am in Mull, spent 1 hour at Duart Castle (much better outside than inside but is worth the visit) and headed to Calgary Bay. From Duart Castle, take the road to Tobermory but leave the main road at Salen and take the B8035 and then B8073 all... More

Its so good, we are getting married on the beach there in August... We were lucky with the weather, it was a gorgeous sunny day but I can't imagine that would make much difference as the view is amazing. You need to go to appreciate it!
