This cathedral sits near the River Ness and there are wonderful views from just outside the cathedral but the cathedral is wonderful as it has a wonderful font of an angel inside the cathedral area . There are many war memorials to the fallen congregation members from the Boer War of 1899-1902 and the Great War of 1914-1918/9 including details... More

This beautiful piece of architecture overlooking the banks of the River Ness. Really nice being one of the most prominent buildings of the city and its prominent spire can be glimpsed from many points of the city. Along the River Ness this cathedral gives a wonderful picture of the city of Inverness.

St. Andrew’s Cathedral or the Inverness Cathedral is the main church of the Highlands and it is an impressive landmark in the town.

Stopped in as part of the walking tour given by the Happy Tours outfit. The interior of the cathedral is nice but ordinary and was free to go in. The interesting features are what is missing. Apparently the structure was built with clan funding but ran short. Therefore, there are no steeples at the top of the the twin towers... More

We went into the grave yard for free and skipped the tower because Scotland has too many fees for Castles and landmarks.

First time we visted this wonderful old church. We had time in the quiet of the morning to give Thanks. The flowers and the decoration inside were so lovely. The carvings outside very interesting Would like to return

The church catches your attention easily as it stands stately beside the river Ness. The outside is beautifully decorated with sculptures. the inside is also very lovely. It is located just down the road and across the street from the castle courthouse and is worth visiting.

the average review is not to indicate that the cathedral isnt pretty, it is..but we just saw it from the other side of the river was going to the castle. so cant say much about how it would be from the inside. one thing though, all the attractions around river ness are literally 5 mins from each other. so none... Visited St Andrews Cathedral again to see if it had changed or we were imagining what a dull experience and missed opportunity it was. But no our first instincts were correct. It is a cathedral of the Scottish Episcopal Church and it says on its web site beyond the sanctuary of the Cathedral stands the Boys’ School building, built by... More
