Step back a few hundred years as Adam Lyal (deceased) and his spooky chums bring the Capital's grisly past vividly to life. Established in 1984, the Cadies have been scaring people from all over the world almost every single night since, and our walking tours have become one of Edinburgh's must-see attractions. Our tours cater to all ages, and are available at different times throughout the evening. This tour was fun and funny, but I was disappointed on the whole. To be fair, I had recently taken a three hour walking tour where I learned a ton of information. This tour was shorter than any other I took (and I 4 or 5 walking tours) at a little over an hour. I was a lot of walking,... More

This has got to be one of the best tours we've been on! We giggled from the beginning to the end....with the odd screech due to the jumper outers!! :) Would definitely do this tour again!!!! ;)

I love Edinburgh and when we visit we always go on a ghost walk. However this one was the best one I've been on! The whole thing was very well thought out and they had me and my partner in stitches. If you are going to do a ghost walk you must do this one. Keep it up guys!

Took the tour last night, and had a brilliant time, didn't stop laughing from start to finish. Highly recommend to anyone looking for something entertaining in the evening.

I had a great time on the Cadies and Witchery ghost tour, in the beautiful and atmospheric settings of Edinburgh Old Town. The tour itself managed to be both informative and funny, with the great addition of an energetic jumper ooter, who managed to startle us on several occasions. The rest of the group was very engaged by the brilliant... More

We have been on many ghost tours both in Edinburgh and in other cities, but this one is the best by far. Totally entertaining and a 'must do' when visiting this beautiful city.

Great guides, great concept, great tour. Simply a must do in Edinburgh. "hilarious", "brilliant" and "fantastic" are the words in other reviews to describe this witchery tour, and I can only agree, the guides have experience and know their stories moreover they wrap it up in an engaging tour which on top of everything is exciting for the youngest ones,... What a brilliant tour! The balance between comedy, fright and education is spot-on. The performers are superb and put so much effort into it. Our tour was after dark which I would recommend as it adds to the atmosphere. Its more slapstick scary - not at all terrifying. As we pre-paid for the tour we got a complimentary book about... More

A fantastic tour lasting over an hour. We did the murder mystery tour and actually learnt something. There was a few surprises along the way with a monk and skeleton jumping out on us. I think you would either love it or hate it due to the comedy element, but we thought it was fantastic.
