The decor is lovely - well worth a look. We had a meal which was excellent but you can just pop in for a drink.

We were recommeded to this by a friend - no regrets and in fact went back for a late Suday snack lunch. Spetacular building as a former bank, we had dinner on the Friday night in the Grill Room. Superb food - no room after starters and main courses £70 included wine and post dinner Scotch. Special mention re the...

This place was recommended to us by a friend when we said we visiting Edinburgh for the weekend. So glad we went. Lovely building on the outside, stunning on the inside. We went in the grill room which is just a sight to behold. We hadn't booked but luckily for us there one table left. The staff were very professional...

As a group of ladies visiting Edinburgh for the first time we stumbled upon this place by complete chance. After taking a bus tour we passed by the entrance twice and it is hard to miss, looking like a miniature parthenon from the from it demands attention. At the back it has a very relaxed garden feel, which is great...

Love love love The Dome! At Christmas they have the biggest Christmas which is above the huge bar in the centre of the room..awesome. We visited in April so was gutted no tree but the decor and the huge flower displays were fantastic. Everyone should visit, especially Christmas time!

Menu: although checked earlier on in the week if the menu was the same as per the website it wasn't but still did not ruin the experience. Good varied choice and even pleased the...

Went in to meet some business colleagues and spent so much time trying to get the staff's attention. The were plainly disinterested in the clients and seemed to uncaringly do their own thing! The place is a great venue, no doubt, but come on staff wake up and show some respect and interest in the punters there and don't at...

We happened upon the Dome and almost passed it up since it looked like the finest restaurant in town but inspection of the menu showed its' prices matched many nice restaurants. Our meal for two- appetizers, Entrees and Desserts, no liquor - cost 80 pounds so you can make your own judgement.
It was fine dining. All plates were artfully...

I was visiting the UK for personal reasons and popped into the Dome one evening for a drink. It was packed to the hilt and it's very difficult to get a seat. If you find one, even if it means sitting with strangers, then take it! We had a great time - it's not cheap even by UK standards, but...
