Just did the 3hour chocolate making class & what an experience!! When you first arrive at the Industrial Estate you are greeted by Ruth & her team with an amazing hot chocolate & the kind of aromas you have only dreamed of before. Ruth takes you through the 'chocolate story' from the plantation to the shop and gets you to... More

Classes were small allowing questions to be asked and information gathering easy. By the end of the course we ended up moulding chocolates and Ganaches, creating delectable chocolates like Easter eggs,... More

Enjoyed the chocolate making indulgence with my daughter. Ruth was an interesting and knowledgeable host and the mix of people and ages, although all female, was good. More

We booked onto a three hour chocolate making course at Cocoa Black. On arrival we were offered coffee or hot chocolate while we waited for other people to arrive. Once everyone was present and accounted for we were gathered around a table while Ruth told us all about chocolate, and gave us the opportunity to try all the different types... More

We had planned to see the Elgin Marbles frieze in Peebles along with a walk along the Tweed and through a dark railway tunnel - however, we also came across this chocolate mecca. A small cafe on a bridge (nicely half way around the walk), well presented chocolate treats, comfy seating and an efficient and friendly staff. Nice lattes and... More

I visited with my mum, we did the pastry masterclass. It was undoubtedly the best experience we have had! It was amazing how we could create choclate mousse cakes and slices, petit fours, chocolates and with only a wee bit of tuition from Ruth. Who I might add it a very good teacher, does'nt intimidate you whilst working and on... More
