Absolutely loved our day in the mines! Thanks so much to our guide Miles, who obviously knows what he's doing! There was a group of 9 of us (aged 23-38) and Go Below kindly offered to let us go on a private tour starting an hour later, which made all the difference. It was great to escape the miserable weather... More

Hello Mary, Thanks very much for your valued review! Its fab to hear how much you all enjoyed it and felt that it was something totally different to try. Its certainly a good choice of activity during miserable weather, during all weathers in fact; when its raining you can escape it by entering this whole new dramatic underworld, when its... More

What a trip! absolutely fantastic. a huge thank you to Myles and Lee. The trip is not for the feint hearted but well worth the effort. We started the trip by being given instructions and gear, Wellingtons, Harness, Hard Hat and Lamp. Off on a 10 minute 4x4 open top ride to the mountain. Once there off for a walk... More

A wonderful day out, we really loved all the activities we did. The children loved the "101" black Landrover Beast. The candlelit lunch was brilliant and really set a great atmosphere. We would love to go back again in the future. More

Great to hear you and your children had a good time JRoberts. Our ex-military forward control Landrover, one of the vehicles we use to travel to and from the mine certainly seems to be a hit with our customers! Glad that you enjoyed the day's experience including our candle lit lunch by the underground lake. If there's time we often... More

This is potentially a great afternoon out. Delightful scenery, walking and underground activities. However, the standard of the tour guides was so appalling that it eventually became comical. There was very little by way of an introduction to who they were or what to bring on the trip; no information was given regarding where we were going or the history... More

Our adventure at Go Below was a great introduction to zip lines, abseils, slate mines and quarries. Not to mention walking up waterfalls and more. We were thrilled with the trip- just the two of us plus the guide Martin who was excellent. The day would be too slow for folks who do this sort of thing regularly, but for... More

Thanks Patchcs for letting others know you enjoyed your underground trip with us! We certainly do pack in a lot of variety with the activities we lay on and like you say its a great taster of abseiling, climbing, scrambling, zip lining, plus some boating. We think of it as a bit of an Indiana Jones style adventure as you... More

Hi TravelingBrummy, thank you for a fab review, we're so glad you enjoyed our subterranean adventure and Miles' company too! Yes this is raw mine exploring with the only light being that on the top of your helmet. No show mines, commercial lighting, voice recordings, dummies or safety barriers here. As you say we adventure through the mine via a... More

Thank you Suz and Mark for your feedback, we're pleased to hear you had fun and that our underground adventure trip became a highlight of your weekend! We just had a brilliant time with Go-Below! My husband and I took my brother and parents on the trip and everyone loved it! Though the "younger" of us are more outdoorsy, it was certainly something different for my parents, but the guides (Miles & Lee) were brilliant! Really patient and encouraging with all of the activities. Huge thanks to... More
