We went expecting to use up a couple of hour but stayed for 5. There was a massive range of things to see and get involved with. I suspect many of the people on site were volunteers who were devotees of the suubject matter and their enthusiasm was clear. Be warned this visit can make you feel old as a... More

We visited on the steam event day.The staff made us feel welcome and explained the exhibits.there was plenty of seating on the site which is important for my husband as he cannot walk long distances. We rode the train and vintage bus so were able to visit all the site and enjoy the experience. Only two negatives * the refreshment tent... More

Paid a visit on Spring Fayre Day with my elderly mother and wife. Pleasant weather and well attended event..... Car park full at 10.30am. Despite numbers the site managed to absorb them easily and never felt conjested. Very educational and interesting 'badgers camp' on site which I think must be unique to a UK museum. Plenty for the industrial historian,... More

An excellent day here, plenty to see and do. Interesting, informative and good value for money. It shows the histories of electricity, telephones, radio, tv and videos. I was depressed to see tv's and video players that I remember us having when I was a child - now there in a museum haha. There is a little steam train that... More

This was an excellent Bank Holiday day out! We felt we had our £11 worth! The 36 acre site ( once a chalk pit) includes narrow guage railway, childrens' playground, restaurant, nature trail, gift shop, pottery, picnic areas and numerous exhibitions, such as telecommunications and vintage wireless. There are plenty of 'buttons' for the children to press, they need never be bored! There are also plenty of places... More

A fascinating day out with the grandchild retro this working Museum. From the old country crafts to a practical look at electrical power, telecoms through the ages and rail heritage. A great place with attractions throughout the year.

We decided to visit again after a few years of seeing the place before and came away feeling quite bored. We felt it was a lot of money to get in and not really much to do . The collection of various items do not seem to have any sort of time line just a lot of tvs dumped in... More

I have been going to the museum since I was at school and love the place so much to see and do and always something different to see. Love the Old Quarry railway and trip behind a steam train and then enjoy a bus journey around the site. They even filmed a 007 film here and you can see some... More

Spent a lovely 3-4 hours wandering out this fascinating museum with extended family (children from 6-10). Very informative for both adults and children, lots to see and do and great staff. Catering was a bit school canteen but still a great day out.

Recently visited the Amberley Working Museum during the Feb'13 1/2 term.. We (Dad, +2 children (4 & 6 in age) + 2 dogs, arrived just after opening time, with plenty of parking spaces available in the car park which is conveniently located opposite the Amberley (Southern) train station... so could travel by train to the attraction if needed. Buying tickets... More
