The tour is very good way to see the town and some of its attractions including the famous houses. You buy a ticket which allows you to hop on hop off and is valid for 24 Hours. Tour guide was very good. Luckily the weather was good to us but reckon you would freeze to death on a cold day. More

The Hop On Hop Off red open-topped double decker bus around Stratford Upon Avon could be summarised as “good route, poor commentary”. The buses left from the information centre every half hour and mainly had the front third of the top deck under cover which was good on a cold day such as the one on which we travelled. The... More

I had a long weekend at Stratford upon Avon in March with friends. I wondered if there would be enough to keep us occupied but no need to worry. It is such a "quaint" town centre and attractions are all pretty close. We visited Shakespeare's birthplace, Ann Hathaways cottage, New Place and Hall's Croft. Unfortunately Mary Arden's house was closed.... More

I have been on several City-sightseeing tours: York, Llandudno;Oxford; Scarborough, so I was thoroughly looking forward to this and I wasn't disappointed. There was no live guide on this tour, as it was calssed as Winter, but the tour driver provided us with headphones and the tour was available in several different languages. My only crticism here was the headphones.... More

Shakespeare has always been my favorite foreign writer/poet. To be in his city is always a marvellous experience. View his houses, his school, his theater, other houses that are still standing there, all since the 1600's, stroll along the river Avon, pay respects at his tomb, enjoy the ATMOSPHERE in a Shakespearean sense, imagine this and that ... Mostly, walk... More
