Stratford, to me is a magical town. Not only do you have easy access to so many wonderful places like Warwick castle and the Cotswolds, the town is in itself an historical gem and a place of beauty and culture. As well as the obvious attractions related to Shakespeare ( and a tour of the new RSC and Swan theatres at £6.50 is brilliant but needs advance booking) this is an excellent place from which to explore National Trust properties within a twenty mile or so radius. Most coach tours to Stratford combine it with Warwick Castle or Oxford or Cotswolds. Most tours include the entrance fees to all two or three attractions so that you end up paying entry fees to attractions that you do not want to enter.
