It's like being in the country when you are actually in the middle of a city. Lots of differant walks and routes and you don't need to have a child in tow to visit Pets Corner. During winter just after it has snowed it is a fabulous place to explore and take photographs.

I went jogging here a few times - always green and pretty with different paths and bridges.

Really good range of walks and photographs in Jesmond Dene. Classic trip to the old mill and waterfall. Heady climb up to Paddy Freemans park and ice creams. Pets corner along under Armstong Bridge and if still fit you can get to Heaton Park going East.

Some refurbishmements but even the rain couldn't dull this little city centre delight. A shame we missed the local markets, it was on the day before our visit!

Jesmond Dean is beautiful in summer and winter months. There are lots of trails for you to walk along, running streams and a nice park for the kids to play in.

Hard to believe that this beautiful area is only 10 mins from City Centre. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
