It is the only place that you can walk amongst 140 Barbary macaques roaming free in 60 acres of beautiful English Forest. Visited the monkey park today and really enjoyed the visit. The monkeys were really cute and very tame. Their habitat is large and well maintained. It is great to be able to get up close to them on foot. My only disappointment is the cafe. The staff were nice but the selection of food was poor and the quality of... More

This is well worth a visit, to see the monkeys so close up and observe their behaviour, it was very interesting. There were a few new babies, I believe one was only two days old, so these were nice to watch, with their protective Mothers. The staff are helpful, with lots of information and a talk is given at feed... More

Trentham gardens is a stately home with extensive formal gardens and a well laid out shopping village. The 'Monkey Forest' is also part of the complex, next to an adventure style tree tops experience accessed further along the A34 from the main entrance (At this point it has a number of speed cameras so beware). It is well sign posted... More

She enjoyed it but I think she preferred visiting a zoo to see different animals. It is lovely to see the monkeys close to and the day we visited we saw quite a lot of mothers with their young baby monkeys.

Well somewhat disappointed with the day, we were expecting a lot of different types of monkeys, but there was only one type, for the cost, not worth it, getting close to the monkeys it is OK. on entrance of the forest you have to walk about 10-15 mins and you will see some monkeys, but before all this, on a... This has to be the most unique attraction I have ever visited in the UK. It is basically a huge area of woodland where Barbary Apes are free to roam as they like. There are marked walkways for the visitors so the animals are free to get away for peace and quiet if they want it. It is nothing like... More

We visited on bank holiday Monday and had a really nice time, the place was so large it never felt overly crowded, and the monkeys were great fun, thoroughly enjoyed. Shame about our afternoon next door in Trentham Gardens though (on another review)
