Our funny and knowledgeable guide Andy entertained and educated us on a comfortable and interesting day through the stunningly beautiful Cotswold area. It was a long full day and definitely worth every penny we paid. Highly recommended. The weather however, could have been better.... More

My family of four took this tour on May 10. Andy was our guide. It was an excellent tour and an excellent value for the cost. We had a typical English rainy day. We reached Stonehenge before any of the big busses got there from Bath & London, which made for a very enjoyable experience there. Avebury was very nice,... More

We went to Cottswolds and were very impressed with itinerary the small comfortable van and especially Andy our guide. The day by with lots of information, quick wit and beautiful places to see. The stops were the right punt of time, and a good variety of The area. Wish we could go again. More

First, the guide, Tim was absolutely wonderful! He made the days worthwhile. The Cotswalds tour was wonderful. Beautiful little towns and villages and a trip through the Coln Valley. The Stonehenge tour is not a comfortable experience in bad weather, but that is not the fault of the tour company. The intineraries could be improved. Why on earth do they vist... More

Mad Max is a good value and well worth the time and money. Very good guide (Chris) well informed, friendly and attentive to our needs. BUT their 16 passenger Mercedes van has very small seats and if you are bigger than 5-9 140 lb they are just torture! I'm 6-0 180lb and holly-crap, I could hardly walk for three days!... More

The day long tour is well worth it - Castle Coombe is the first stop, a gorgeous little village with a very long history. John, our guide, made the tour interesting, without over-loading you with the history and facts. The stones and henge at Avebury is the next stop - amazing and way bigger than I imagined. We stopped at... More

We made the half day excursion to Stonehenge. Although Stonehenge was a bit disappointing we had a wonderful day. The chauffeur was very friendly and he told funny and interesting things about the area. The countryside is fantastic even as the small town called Lacock. I can recommend this trip to everybody.. Okay, Mother really wanted to see Stonehenge...me not so much... so this tour gave us best of what we both wanted. I tolerated Stonehenge (nothing wrong with it, just not my cup of tea) for my mother’s sake but I got to visit and old village from 15th century (now that's my cup of tea). Lacock Village is a great... More

My wife and I decided to book the MadMax tour on reccomended ion of Rick Steves' guide book. We were not dissatisfied. For us the whole trip was very interesting. That is with the exception of Stonehenge. We both found, despite the dreadful weather, The henge at Avebury to be far more interesting. It has everything Stonehenge has except the... More
