This is the place to spend an hour or two when the sun is shining (rare I know). You have beautifully tended floral displays, the river, good views of empire parade and if the money is found to renovate the area that I think they call the pallisades alongside the river then it will ratchet up in go forthness!

The gardens are fantastic, it's very much a tourist attraction, with beautiful flowers, perfectly mowed lawns by the cannel and there's a quaint little tea shop in the corner. Residents with a card don't have to pay for entry. Though the gardens are pretty spectacular, there are so many places like this that you don'y have to pay to get... More

We visited these gardens yesterday when we visited Bath. They are lovely with nice lush green grass, beautifully kept and we sat alongside the River Avon and just relaxed for a little while to rest our feet. The only problem I had was that fact we were charged 1.20 each to get in! I've never paid to enter a garden... More

The Parade gardens for me is one of truly happy memories. The bandstand in the middle, where a gentle band used to play, and me and my friends did our little renditions, mine was On the Good Ship Lollypop in a red crepe paper dress that my mum made. We got changed behind the many shrubs surrounding the gardens. On... More

Handkerchief sides garden with an overpriced shed cafe. The only redeeming feature is the (angled and awkward) view of the wier. And they ask £1.20 just to enter!

There is no better place to be in Bath on a summers day. There are regular band concerts from May to September, deckchairs to lounge in and a cafe selling afternoon teas, ice creams or coffee. Pretty flower beds and well kept lawns in a perfect spot in the heart of Bath next to the river.

This garden was a pleasant surprise on our trip to Baths; we had not heard of it before and found it by chance as we walking from the train station towards the Bath city centre but we were glad we found it as it added something nice to our visit, breaking up the amount of historic buildings and sites we... You know your visit to the Parade Gardens is going to be special when you're met by a guide in top hat and tails! There is a fee for the Gardens to ensure their upkeep, but you can still see some pretty sights walking along the streeet above the park. We were lucky to have been there during the Diamong... More

Beautiful place to go if it's nice weather. Get there relatively early so you can get some deck chairs, as they're usually taken up by midday. Grab a picnic and enjoy the sun. It's a lovely relaxing place to be, very well kept and a little hidden from the rest of the world. Very beautiful.
