We try to visit this National Trust property at least once a year as there is always something different to see as work has been ongoing for years to 're-discover Attingham'. The work going on at the moment is to replace the roof over the picture gallery which started 6 months ago and is due to be completed in late... More

The guided tour around the house itself was very interesting. My tour guide was very knowledgeable and all the volunteer staff around the house were very friendly and helpful.

Thought we would see how the blue bells were going this year - with our harsh long winter it was a gamble. We were pleasantly surprised to find hidden clusters about on the walk and enjoyed the deer in the deer park. Topped off with tea and cake in the stables, particularly recommend the brownie - fudgy!

We arrived late in the afternoon but were still told about everything we wanted to know. Didn't have time to walk round the gardens but what we saw looked lovely. Those who have time could have a really good day out.

Lovely grounds for walking. Mainly flat and nice and shady walking down to the river. The walled garden is a delight. Playpark for the children. The house is worth a look too. A couple of teashops so you can easily spend a day there. Holiday time activities for children at small extra cost. Definitely one of the Shropshire places to... More

A really impressive National Trust property, with excellent tour guides. The lady who took us round The Servants Quarters, really lived the part, even Dressed the part. The displays in the main house are really good, and all the volunteers in the rooms helped make a great visit. The cafe was very impressive, the food we had i s some... More

Took my little granddaughter (4) to a party in the Orangery and took my Grandson (6) and daughter (12) around the park while the party went on. We had a drink and cake in the cafe and the fruitcake was delicious. The walks were a delight with the deer and wildlife. The house and it's mouse hunt was fantastic. the... More

If you are there when there is a tour of the house it is worth joining one as it makes your visit much more interesting. They do different themes and the first one we went on was Spit and Polish and took you round and explained all the things that have to be done to keep everything clean and in... More

Such a great place to visit if you're anywhere near Shrewsbury, even if you're not a Member. The WWII walk is great, as it takes you through the deer.
