So disappointed with the visit. No comparison to similar facilities in Vienna and Amsterdam. been down hill since the opening season, needs something
I really like the Contemporary as a facility. Nottingham deserves a venue for modern art. The exhibitionbs are varied, and of course not everything appeals to everyone, but I have seen some fantastic stuff since it opened, and always keep an eye on what is on.
I always make a point of visiting the Nottingham Contemporary whenever I have a couple of hours to spare and am never disappointed. The variety of exhibitions is excellent and the unceasingly uplifting. I delight in wandering round and just soaking in the atmosphere and always feel enriched.

The Free Easter Activity sign lured us into this gallery and we filled a good hour creating a robotic animal. It was a really good way to break up the day when visiting Nottingham and a great alternative to softplay madness.
I visted the gallery with a friend on a weekday, having found ourselves wandering aimlessly around the city centre. On entering we found it to be a lovely airy space, well lit, and an oasis of calm in the centre of Nottingham. The exhibits were well laid out, with some interactive displays and plenty of helpful staff members on hand...

Discovered by accident and found some fascinating exhibitions, well explained by one of the installers. Well worth a visit.
An interesting recent addition to the cultural scene in Nottingham. Two great current exhibitions by Piero Gilardi and John Newling, the latter particularly thought-provoking and creative. Good cafe. Fine bookshop. Lots of community engagement. Sympathetic and empathetic staff. Opportunity for some big installations on the rather bleak concrete stairwells
Nice atmosphere with live music but food was average except for the Yorkshire puds which were quite impressive.
