We just happened to be passing 'Elizabeth' as they were stoking her up ready for the next trip, and jumped on on a whim, what an interesting experience and story behind her.
The couple are lovely, and passionate about what they do, and we loved the little staffy rescue dog who shares their journeys! It was a fantastic way to...

My wife and I had a trip on the steam bus today. An informative commentary, throughout the trip, enhanced the whole experience. A decent slice of history, with the bus being actually a lot quicker than we imagined. Well worth the modest fare.
Had wonderful journey on old bess (think that's wots called). Definately recommend it . Go chance to see Whitby chugging along on a steam bus
There is no denying the hard work and passion the owners have put into restoring the only steam-powered bus in the UK, and the value that has to British heritage shouldn't be underestimated. A billiant tour of Whitby in a unique bus, well worth the fare if nothing for a well deserved sit down and rest whiile enjoying the commentary and enjoyable views.
Very friendly family run business, a nice trip out. We travelled on Elizabeth who has a great history and it was nice to know that this is the only steam bus running in the world!!
Great fun to be had on the steam bus, very interesting talk about the history of how the steam bus came into being. Short ride round Whitby watching the steam shoot out the top, and sometimes even some flames. Kids will love this.
Great value, well worth 20 min of your day. The story told of Elizabeth was lovely. Great for the younge and old alike. Extremly friendly staff/owner
We've taken a ride on Elizabeth the Steam Bus twice now and will no doubt go on it again during our next stay in Whitby. Why? Well, we do have a 5 year old so the appeal is obvious for him but quite honestly I think I'd go on without him! The passion and dedication that the owners of Elizabeth...
