A lovely hideaway garden and not at all as you would expect. The depth of field and variation in a relatively small space was lovely. Reminded me of Bodnant Garden in North Wales on a much smaller scale. Really enjoysble

So surprised when I found out about the Plantation Garden, particularly its location! Situated a stone's throw away from the city centre this is a hidden gem. Wonderful Victorian Gothic/Medieval influences throughout the garden make for a fascinating trip. Information provided around the garden was great, personally I would have liked a bit more of it!
well worth seeking out, a few yards past the Roman Catholic Cathedral on the top of Grape Hill. You would never believe this beautiful garden is hidden behind this busy road. Worth spending an hour or so for a wander round the wooded slopes or just taking a few minutes to sit and relax
We are art university students who live nearby, and are regular visitors to the gardens to draw. However, I was disgusted with the greeting we received by the warden when we visited recently, who pushed their way to the collection box when we were in the midst of donating and didn’t trust us that we would put our £2 entrance...

The Plantation Garden in Norwich is a real hidden gem. It's an exquisite little haven, tranquil and serene, packed with interesting plants and features. Well worth a visit, at any time of the year - and an added bonus, there are often plants to buy!
A beautiful garden set in what was an old quarry. Not obvious at all from the road - you have to look it out, and if you do then you'll be rewarded with a little oasis of tranquility. It's not huge, so good for a quick 30-60 minute visit perhaps. Whilst in the area I'd also highly recommend a flying...

This is quite unusual and well worth a look - once you've found it! Was very quiet the day we went - had the whole place to ourselves, quite romantic for two old lovers!
This is a garden in a disused quarry. The Victorian garden is (naturally) below the normal city ground level and tranquility surrounds you. There is no eating outlet but there are plants for sale. Take a sandwich and sit there and regain sanity.
This garden is a little hard to find, unless you already know where it is. Tucked among hotels, close to the Catholic cathedral, it is well worth looking for. It has attractive planting, a spectacular gothic fountain and amazing terraces and decorated walls.
My children and I visited after a visit to the city (Norwich). They were free to run around. There is an honesty post box to pay the entrance fee and there is parking close by. It is not open all year so please check the website. When it is open though, they offer a Sunday afternoon tea session which is...
